This special report on how children are affected and exploited for coltan mining labor provides a new viewpoint on how sought after coltan is, to the point that children as young as four years old are being recruited for its extraction and mining. These children work in horrible conditions, sometimes with no shoes, and sometimes in the middle of storms, for little compensation.
